COMMUNITY MISSIONS

A useful task.
A reason to begin.

Voluntary, supported opportunities to contribute locally — shaped around interests, access needs and readiness.

SMALL STEPS THAT MATTER

Find a contribution that fits.

01

Grow together

Plant, tend or help organise a community garden. Explore teamwork and care for shared spaces.

02

Care for the coast

Take part in a supervised beach clean or an accessible supporting role, such as preparing materials.

03

Create for the community

Photograph a project, design a poster or help tell a local story with appropriate consent.

04

Improve a shared space

Help with a suitable, supervised improvement project organised with a community partner.

SUPPORT AROUND THE PERSON

What would be recorded?

The activity, date, contribution, participant reflection and organiser verification.

Badges recognise achievement. They are not formal qualifications or a cash reward.

How will activities be delivered responsibly?

Before delivery, each activity needs an agreed organiser, appropriate supervision, risk assessment, insurance and accessibility planning. Safeguarding arrangements and any necessary checks will depend on the activity and participants. Missions are not a substitute for paid roles or a condition of receiving support.
